According to chief Ovbiebo of the Enisen section of the Iwebo palace society, the group assigned the selection and coordination of the oba's ceremonial wardrobe, ivory bracelets are worn especially in ceremonies in which the oba dances with the eben swords or handles a gong, because they keep his coral beads from getting tangled."
